Large, 40” x 30” canvas backed map folded neatly bearing a stamp on the back reading, “Sold By George Philip & Son, Ltd. 32 Fleet St., London, E.C.4.”. The map is produced by “Geographia Ltd., 167 Fleet Street, London E.C.4.”. The well-known cartographic publishers were in this location for ~25 years, dating this map to c.1942-1967, although it is not dated. It also does not contain the peculiar coded dating system of many Geographia maps. Railways, canals, and steamer routes noted in the legend.~~It does not appear to be the c.1940 version; we have not been able to find this same version elsewhere. Excellent condition apart from a small fold in the bottom right corner and the adhered remnant of paper from a label that has since been removed.
