In 1872, Albert Schoenhut opened a toy store in Philadelphia specializing in toy pianos and other musical instruments as well. His patented metallophone is a toy version of the ancient Asian instrument, and are rare today. The back cover advertises his “Humpty Dumpty Circus” figures - jointed like French dolls but much stronger.~~Fragile but good. Moderate loss to back cover corner.
