Written by Florence Nightingale, renowned for her lifesaving work during the Crimean War. Ms. Nightingale was instrumental in implementing sanitary measures which greatly increased survival rates for patients. She created the Nightingale school at St.Thomas’s Hospital in London in June of 1860.
