Ms. Anderson of course was instumental in overcoming racial prejudice in mid-20th century United States.~~1944 stapled softcover program presenting Jeannette Taylor in concert at Carnegie Music Hall. Original binding torn, otherwise good; ~~1959 A.P. photo of Marian Anderson giving the commencement address at the University of Michigan graduation. Small tear to top right edge, markings around image edge for framing, fair-good;~~1965 reprint of a 1935 press photo of Anderson. Very good;~~1964-1965 program for Anderson’s farewell concert. Pencil inscriptions inside from original holder marking songs during the concert. Good;~~1975 program from the Friends of The Late Madam Mary Cardwell Dawson presenting a concert in her honor. No damage, very good.~.
