A New Edition. 24mo; original cloth with gilt decoration; 403 pages including the index; four folding maps or plans as called for, plus an additional folding plan of Torquay; illustrated with 26 steel engraved plates in vignette; some moderate wear to spine with minor loss at the top and bottom; front hinge repaired with Japanese tissue; just a bit of old tape residue at the top of front pastedown and endpaper; a previous owner’s signature to the front end paper; while this edition is undated, Cambridge University dates it at 1850.
