Dr. William Thornton -- a biographical sketch; Plate I with two color plates on a single leaf as frontispiece {this leaf has edgewear and minor loss); Plate II the title page has minor wear not affecting the printed text; the 28 addtitional plates which follow have very little wear.~~The original portfolio as a label mounted on the front, which is a smaller facsimile of the title page.~~Drawings and text were made under the direction of Glenn Brown, F. A. I. A., for the American Institute of Architects.
