Quarto; in printed paper-covered boards, backed in black calf, with decorations in gilt to the spine; this volume consists only of plates: there are 27 plates in total, and they are peculiarly numbered (though all different); Plates 1 - 21 are numbered consecutively; they are followed by Plates 30, 12, 14, 21, 28, and 29 [while the numbers 12, 14, and 28 are duplicate numbers, the plates themselves are different]. ~~The binding is worn, with wear especially to the corners, loss of about 1” to the top of the spine, and the beginnings of separation at the front gutter.~~.
