Oblong quarto, in bright silk-screened cardstock; limited signed edition of 75 copies, of which this is #47; roughcut, and printed on Rosaspina Fabriano 40% cotton; signed by the the artist Despina Meimaroglou; in modern greek and english, with the text taken from the Gospel of St. John.~~A reinterpretation of part of the Passion Narrative, John 19:34-42. With text hand-copied in Greek by the artist, and is an extraction from an 1802 edition of the Gospel printed in Yannena, Greece. and very striking screenprints of close-up parts of a handgun -- the barrel, the cylinder, the trigger, the grip, two bloody handprints, etc --in a four color process plus screenprint. The screenprints were printed by Nicos Doukos.
