Small quarto; in the publisher’s blue ribbed cloth with titling and double rules embossed in blind and titling in gilt to the spine, with dustjacket; there are no ownership marks of any kind in the book; xvi, 284 with illustrations; the dustjacket has minor wear.~~Dr. Ruxton, a physician, murdered his wife Isabelle and her maid Mary in September of 1935. He mutilated the bodies to the extent that they had to be sewn back together like a jigsaw puzzle.~~The book has photographic illustrations that are so gross that we don’t choose to show them.~.
