Large 8vo.; in the publisher’s pink silk bonding, with a cream label to the spine, lettered in gilt, with slipcase; 55 pages with illustrations and a set of proofs; signed by the author, Walter Shewring; the engraver Simon Brett, the engraver; Christopher Skelton, the printer; and Clare Skelton, the binder.~~This edition limited to twenty-five special copies printed on Zerkall mould-made paper with additional pages bearing impressions of the engravings, printed direct from the wood blocks; in the rear of the book is a loose set of proofs of the engravings on japon, printed and signed by the artist.~~This special edition is signed by the author, the engraver, the printer and the binder “in recognition of its being the last book produced at Skelton’s Press under Christopher Skelton’s ownership”.
