Small quarto; in the publisher’s printed gray wrappers; [1], 2-78 pages; the pages are unopened; the front wrapper has a closed tear of about 3”; there are no marks in the book.~~An uncommon compilation by Philip Ludwell, who had several important roles in the colonies -- governor of North Carolina; governor of South Caroina, Council Member, secretary of state, and speaker of the House of Burgesses in Virginia. He was a chief aide to Governor Berkeley during Bacon’s Rebellion.
