(7 1/4” x 4 1/8”); in the publisher’s decorative blue cloth binding, with a lovely decoration of trees in pale green and light blue, with titling in English and in Japanese characters in gilt; iv, [1], 2-311 pages, with colophon in Japanese, and with double page photogravure plate; with Japanese script used in the footnotes as well; green, brown and white patterned paper endpapers; there are no ownership marks of any kind in the book.~~Rather uncommon title, but a noted Japanese novelist from the early part of the 20th century.
