It is intact with light and scattered foxing. The gilt at the spine is attractive and bright.~~This edition with Cincinnati on the title page, as well as Maysville.~~“Lewis Collins is known as the state’s first historian. He owned and was editor of The Eagle newspaper in Maysville for 27 years. His book (Historical Sketches) takes readers from the prehistoric days of Kentucky through its time of settlement in 1847, which his writings were published for the first time.
