Combe’s sequel and the final original installment of the Doctor Syntax series A handsome “tall” copy, illustrated by Thomas Rowlandson with 24 hand-colored aquatint plates. Full polished tan calf, a.e.g., the spine with morocco titles, and floral ornaments, triple fillets with stops to the perimeter of the boards, double fillets on the board edges, and dentelle turn-ins. The Rowlandson plates are pristine and the binding is attractive. (Abbey Travel 268).
