Edition limited to 275 copies, 8vo. 128 pp. [4]. Binding in burgundy quarter-morocco over marbled papers especially designed for this edition by Iris Nevins, with a printed paper label on the upper board. Title page printed in red, blue and black. Housed in the publisher’s folding blue cloth box. ~~Accompanied by a Sweynheym and Pannatrz leaf from Volume I of their editio princeps of Nicholas of Lyra’s Postilla super totam biblian which was completed on 18 November 1471 in the Palazzo Massimo in Rome. The leaf is secured behind a hinged cloth mat. White preceded by Gutenberg, Sweynheym and Pannartz were the earliest printers outside of Germany.~~One of 239 copies (which included eight special copies numbers I-VIII and were accompanied a a leaf with a rubricated initial) out of total edition of 275 copies. This is copy No. 28. The book and the leaf are fine. The blue cloth box is nearly so, but has a slightly dusty appearance.
