[PHOTOGRAPH; BASKETBALL] ALBANY NEW YORK, 1924

A 7 12” x 9 1/2” photograph on a gray card mount, of the basketball team of Albany New York’s Milne High School, in 1924. Milne was the campus laboratory school for the University of Albany, providing a location for prospective teachers to do their practice teaching. The photographer, Gustave Lorey, who had studios in Albany, Schenectady, and Sarasota Springs, advertised in the “Crimson and White” the Milne magazine that “The highest form of Photographic Art, done under my personal supervision, in finely appointed studios, is my offering at special prices to all student”. The photograph is fine; the mount has a closed tear.
