Offenbach a M. Klingspor, 1920.
Hard Cover. Paper covered boards, with a floral device in red, green, orange, yellow and black in the center of the upper board; backed in vellum. Small quarto. With a large hand-drawn and colored initial by Rudolf Koch, the master calligrapher and typographer who designed type for the Klingspor Foundry, as well as hand-drawn and colored smaller initials and end-strips. The author LaGarde was rabidly anti-Semitic; Koch for his part was commissioned by Siegfried Guggenheim to design the type for one of the great haggadahs, the Offenbacher Haggadah . An ironic juxtaposition to say the least.~.
