Numerous plates and text illustrations, depicting the curious chemical instruments and experiments of the day. Toning to the endpapers; contemporary owner’s name on the front flyleaf; foxing throughout. Overly mottled calf, with some surface loss to the leather, and a black leather label on the spine.
