Three Quarters Leather. First two volumes only, of four. Covering Marshall’s life from 1755-1801. Color portrait frontispiece, and additional plates: facsimiles, portraits, and illustrations. Text is reasonably bright. Front joint of Volume I, and the corners of the boards, with some surface wear. Three quarters red morocco over light red cloth, with gilt lettering and rules. Top edges gilt, with silk ribbon markers bound in.
