Item #286126 [RICHMOND] THE SIGNET FOR 1909. VOLUME TWO. Students of the Richmond Academy.
[RICHMOND] THE SIGNET FOR 1909. VOLUME TWO.

[RICHMOND] THE SIGNET FOR 1909. VOLUME TWO.

Richmond: Whittet and Shepperson | Richmond Academy, [1909].

Hard Cover. The secomd year book issued by the Richmond Academy, a secondary school for boys established by the Trustees of Richmond College in 1902. The Academy was housed in two buildings -- one containing a study hall and four classrooms, and the other containing the primary school --located just south of the College on Lombardy and Park. We enjoy the nick-names -- “Barny”, “Sleepy” “Hoogy”, “Old Lady”, “Hogeye” and so on. There was a “Church Hill Club” whose page has a drawing of St. John’s Church. A nice item of Richmond lore from the turn of the last century. Hinges have been reinforced.

Very Good binding.
