Portrait frontispiece; crest of Eton College on the title page; three additional engraved plates; engraved headpieces, tailpieces, and initials. Some foxing to the plates, and very slight foxing scattered throughout. Laid paper. Signed binding by R. Ingalton Drake. Full calf, double ruled with floral stops and a rolled border at the perimeter, with an armorial device stamped in the center of the boards; elaborate decorations and devices, one armorial, on the spine, with a dark gray leather label; tooling to the edges of the boards, and dentelles, all in gilt. Narrow quarto. All edges gilt.
