Portrait frontispiece. Red straight grain morocco, with elaborate, decorative rules at the perimeters of the boards; gilt roll to the edges; dentelles; lettering and illustrations stamped in gilt, in compartments on the spine. Rebacked by a conservator; Japanese tissue repair reinforcing the hinges. All edges gilt.
