Hard Cover. First Edition. A clean copy of the First Edition. Felix Dubois was a journalist and explorer, one of the first to journey to the newly French-occupied city of Timbuktu. He wrote many works on the history and his experiences in French West Africa, this being one of the first. This work includes many black and white drawings, maps, and illustrations, Bound in brown cloth with decoration on the front and titling on the spine stamped in gilt. Some wear to the edges of the spine and scuffing to the corners of the boards. There is a namestamp on the front pastedown and name written on the front endpaper. Unfoxed and almost untoned for its age. Top edge gilt.
