Philadelphia: Privately Printed, 1869.
Hard Cover. First Edition. Signed with photo of author. A clean copy which has been signed by the author on a stubbed in leaf underneath a pasted in photo of the author. Mr. Parish apparently wished to arrange an expedition into the Niger basin with public funds in order to procure gold and other such booty. Very nice fold-out map of North Africa as frontispiece. Four facsimile letters inserted into the text. Archival repair to top of spine and corners of rear board. Bound in green cloth, with modest gilt tooling to the bottom of the spine, and some wear to the edges of the binding. Some cracking to the hinges, but binding still tight. All edges gilt.
Very Good binding.
