First Edition. A clean First Edition copy with no marks of any kind. The dustjacket -- while still portraying some splendid ants -- is compromised with a nearly two inch piece missing from the bottom of the spine, and some significant loss to the top edge of the front panel (affecting the titling) and more minor loss to the edges of the rear panel. The dustjacket has not been price-clipepd and is now protected with a new mylar cover.
