Hard Cover. Second Printing. Signed. This copy has been signed with a personal inscription to one “William B. Arnold In memory of the delightful afternoon we spent together in my studio. W. R. Leigh”. In addition, there is taped to the front endpaper an original pencil sketch, quite unfinished, which has noted on it: “original of W. R. Leigh done as an illustration of how he composes his composition. Showed me this in his studio.” With six tipped in color plates, two of which are lacking their tissue guards. There is tape residue to the pastedown from articles pasted in. As well there is laid in a small catalog of an exhibition of Leigh’s watercolors at the Grand Central Art Gallery in 1951. In the publisher’s red cloth binding, lacking the dustjacket. (Howes L242 (1933 Edition)).
