Lacking plate I and only a fragment of folding plate II is present; full bound in contemporary sheep with title label present; wear to the extremities including the corners; front free endpaper has been partially tipped down; contemporary owner names and more modern bookplates on the preliminary leaves; foxed and toned to varying degrees; one signature is slightly pulled, but still held in by the sewing; 3 pages with contemporary owner corrections based on the errata page; 2 leaves with closed tears; lacking rear free endpaper and a portion of the last page of the index, 2Q4; else a sound copy of a very scarce title unfortunately lacking a couple plates. A Maryland planter, Bordley was instrumental in the formation of the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture. His contributions to colonial agriculture were significant and this present work is the most extensive on the subject, covering theory of crop rotation to infrastructure. ~~ (Sabin 6414; Evans 35216).
