A group of 41 issues of the National Anti-Slavery Standard, most in Very Good condition, some with minor loss as described below. An important primary historical source on the debate over slavery which stirred emotions before, during, and after the Civil War. The official weekly of the American Anti-Slavery Society, the paper was established in 1840 and published continuously until the ratification of the Fifteen Amendment to the Constitution in 1870.
