Out of Work: A Study of Employment Agencies: Their Treatment of the Unemployed, and Their Influence Upon Homes and Business

NY: G. P. Putnam’s Sons, 1905.

Hard Cover. Second Printing. By pioneering workers’ advocate Frances Kellor. She had her law degree from Cornell in 1897 and afterwards lived and worked at Hull House. She took a job with the Progressive Party, working there for greater understanding for the concerns of immigrants and their problems in America. Were she alive today, Ms. Kellor would have a lot to contribute to the current debate. A pretty good copy with just a bit of loss at the head of the spine. Not an ex-library copy. There is a previous owner name and bookplate.

Very Good binding.
