Aloys Zötl was an Austrian painter, known for his surrealist and fantastical bestiary, which was later rediscovered by Andre Breton, though little else is known about the artist. Black cloth with gilt lettering and a colored plated pasted onto the front board. Slight sunning to the spine. Housed in the publisher’s slipcase, with minor tears and wear to its edges.
